Martin's research addresses human genetic and phenotypic variation in the context of the justice system, and the role of forensic science in upholding human rights and the rule of law.

Robin's research encompasses study of the effectiveness of forensic science, ethical and policy issues in the development of DNA databases, and the significance of scientific knowledge to modes of governance.

Eleanor's research involves conventional and low-template approaches to DNA profiling in a range of contexts, including the assessment of paediatric contusion injuries and the investigation of wildlife crime.

Ray's research is in the analysis and interpretation of forensic fibre evidence, including statistical and chemometric approaches to fibre comparison.

Ed's research applies methods in genomics and bioinformatics to the identification and stratification of samples, in particular, via the investigation of transcriptomic and DNA methylation patterns.

Kelly's research is in the analysis and interpretation of forensic fibre evidence, including investigation of the implications of potential secondary transfer events.

Matthias studies science-society relationships and the opportunities of cross-disciplinary knowledge production for socially responsible science and technology development, for example, of forensic genetics.

In his PhD research, Rory is examining the use of multivariate statistical analysis to assist in the interpretation of fibre evidence within forensic science.

Karen is undertaking doctoral research in Forensic Evidence and Attrition in Criminal Cases in England and Wales. Karen is a practicing barrister with her own chambers with previous experience with the CPS.
